If the crowd size that turned out for last weekend’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade is any indication of things to come, it could be a very good year here at Lake of the Ozarks for retailers and local law enforcement. Lake Ozark Police Chief Gary Launderville says, given the crowd size, he was pleased with how people behaved.
In Osage Beach, there were only three arrests reported over the holiday weekend…two people brought in on outstanding warrants, and a 29-year-old from Osage Beach arrested on drug charges. The Highway Patrol, on the other hand, was a little busier, reporting around a dozen arrests. Law enforcement is now taking time to gear up for the next big event, the Memorial Day holiday coming up the final weekend in May.
