Voters decided the fate of Four state constitutional amendments during Tuesday’s election. Amendment two, which allows previous allegations of criminal acts to be used against people facing sex related charges involving victims under the age of 18 passed; while amendment three which would’ve linked teacher evaluations to student performance and limit tenure protections was defeated. Amendment six which dealt with early voting also went down in defeat while amendment ten, which allows the legislature to override the governor’s decision to freeze or slow spending on state budget items, was passed by voters. U.S. representative Blaine Leutkemeyer won re-election for the district three seat while Vicky Hartzler was re-elected for district four. State auditor Tom Schweich also won re-election as did district six state senator Mike Kehoe.
