We told you about a new program offered by State Fair Community College to provide free tuition for qualifying students in their dual-credit program. High Schoolers that are eligible for free or reduced lunch programs will also be eligible to have their tuition paid while they take college courses at the high school level. Dean of Student Services Dr. Autumn Porter says it’s designed to bridge a gap that currently exists.
The students who receive the free tuition will still be responsible for some course fees and the costs of books. The program goes into effect with the Spring 2020 semester.
Interested students and parents should talk to their guidance counselors or visit www.sfccmo.edu.
