State Fair Community College will be hosting a boater safety course. It will be free of charge and will be held March 7th from 9am until 4pm at the Osage Beach campus. All boaters born after January 1st, 1984 are required to have a Missouri Boater Safety Certification card to legally operate a motorized vessel or personal watercraft. The course is approved by the Water Patrol and is open to anyone. To operate a vessel by yourself in Missouri you must be at least 14. You can be under 14 if you’re accompanied by an adult. You still need a boater safety card, though. Pre-enrollment is required. You can register by calling 660-530-5822.
