State Fair CC Officially Opposes OTC Campus in Camdenton

What had been a reserved concern about an upcoming election in Camden County is now, officially, opposition. The Board of Trustees of State Fair Community College has passed a resolution opposing what they call the annexation of the Camdenton R-III school district into the Ozark Technical Community College district. Voters of the Camdenton school district will be asked April 7th to vote on a proposed tax increase to join the OTC district and fund construction of a new campus for the school. State Fair contends that their Osage Beach campus provides the area with a comprehensive educational option without the need for additional taxes.
