State Fair Community College is one of nine selected to receive a portion of federal grant money. The U.S. Department of Labor is distributing $12 million to the Missouri Apprenticeships in Manufacturing Program. MoAMP is a nine-member consortium of community colleges, technical schools, and the National Institute for Metalworking Skills. State Fair will receive $1.2 million over four years to develop pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship training programs. Those programs will qualify participants for high-paying, in-demand careers in advanced manufacturing.
