State Fair Community College will be offering a virtual 7-week workforce training program.
The college says they’re partnering with The Learning Force to provide it online from October 28th through December 16th.
The program helps trainees to learn how to communicate more effectively as a leader and is recommended for those who are or wish to be a supervisor or manager.
The cost of the program is near $700 and there are grants available.
SFCC to offer virtual 7-week peer to supervisor workforce training
Sedalia, Missouri – Sept. 29, 2020 –State Fair Community College’s The LearningForce will offer an online 7-week Learn to Lead workforce training course from 11 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. on Wednesdays from Oct. 28 through Dec. 16. Class will not be held on Nov. 25. Space is limited, so early enrollment is recommended.
The Learn to Lead: Transitioning from Peer to Supervisor course prepares employees with the skills and knowledge needed to become successful supervisor. Trainees will learn how to communicate more effectively, be flexible yet firm; build trust and gain respect; resolve conflict; motivate co-workers; manage time and set priorities; and more. This course is also recommended for supervisors and managers with little or no formal supervisory training. The cost is $699 per person. Individuals who are eligible for the Missouri One Start Grant may use those funds to pay for the course.
The LearningForce offers a diverse schedule of noncredit continuing education courses for business and industry, professional development and personal enrichment.
