The State of Missouri has caused a bit of a stir in Camden County after a hold was put on the federal money coming to Osage Beach to help repair the damage done to the park. City Administrator Jeana Woods say’s they were shocked
Woods says that even if they froze the funding, that will not stop them from completing the project. She says all that is left at this time is the ball fields and the park will be back to normal. Originally KRMS had reported that this was a direct result of the Governor’s office as stated by the City Administrator, however, after speaking with the Governor’s office they are saying it’s the legislator’s fault for removing the estimated designation from the disaster appropriations, which has tied the administration’s hands in delivering the funds.
