Elementary and secondary schools across the state will receive a much-needed boost to respond to coronavirus-related needs.

The funding, part of the recently-enacted CARES Act, includes $208 million dollars for immediate needs of the students and teachers, to improve the use of education technology, and to support distance learning and to make up for lost learning time.

It also includes $206 million for Missouri colleges, universities and trade schools to make available emergency cash grants to students to help offset general expenses related to the coronavirus.
