The Fiscal year for Missouri will be ending at the end of this month and with the budget an issue and the state looking for a way to save money the state will likely hit the estimate for the entire fiscal year. The general revenue collections in Missouri increased 3.4 percent to $6.6 billion for the fiscal year compared to $6.4 billion during the same period last year. Missouri Budget Director Linda Luebbering after the release of the latest revenue data says she feels confident that the state will be right on target. Luebbering also said that due to the global markets and the European debt crisis Mo may see a slowdown. As far as individual income tax collections they have increased 3.4 percent to $5.3 billion, while sales and use tax collections went up 4.7 percent to $1.7 billion during the 11 months.
