It’s been a safer year on Missouri’s roads and waterways so far. The state highway patrol reports that fatalities for the year are down 2% from 2016. So far 565 people had been killed on the state’s roads as of August 30th. That is down by 13 from the 578 who had died by this time last year. Boating fatalities are down as well, from 12 in 2016 to just five as of August 30th.
