Roy Blunt defeats Robin Carnahan with 54.3% of the vote to 40.6% of the vote to take Kit Bond’s U.S. Senate seat. Tom Schweich the Republican challenger, defeats incumbent state auditor Susan Montee, 50.9% of the vote to 45.4%. In the District 4 congressional race, Republican Vicky Hartzler defeats incumbent Democrat Ike Skelton, 50.4% of the vote to 45.1%. For the District 7 seat vacated by Roy Blunt, Billy Long takes 63.4% of the vote over his Democrat challenger Scott Eckersley who got 30.3% of the vote. For the 9th Congressional District seat, Blaine Luetkemeyer defeats Libertarian Christopher Dwyer, 77.6% to 22.3%.
And the state representative seat in the 115th district will be retained by Rodney Schad after he defeats independent Randy Dinwiddie, 82.2% of the vote to 17.8%.
Diane Franklin will be the new 155th District state representative. She defeats Democrat John Page 65.6% of the vote to 34.4%.
