It’s Christmas season and how many times have we turned on the news only to hear about crime at local shopping centers, malls and out on the town. Sergeant Arlene Page with the Osage Beach Police Department says to make sure as you are putting bags and packages in your vehicle to either put them out of sight or cover them. She also says if you go out at night to make sure you park in a well lit area.
Page says it’s a good idea to be very observant about what is happening around you. If you feel like you are being followed by someone; do not hesitate to call 9-1-1. Page says they do not mind going out on a call that turns out to be nothing as they want to keep the public safe.
