The strong storms that swept through the region this weekend still have some people in the dark. Saturday afternoon more than 1700 people lost electricity in Camden County following high winds and heavy rainfall. The winds also damaged billboards and some docks, and caused several downed trees and power lines. There were also reports of some impassible roads in the area. According to the Ameren’s website, as of 5:30 this morning, there were still over 400 Ameren customers without power across the state, including 47 in Camden County. Power in Camden County was fully restored just prior to 6 a.m.
