Twelve different agencies from all around the Lake Area responded to a fire in Stoutland Thursday. The Lebanon Rural Fire Protection District received the call around 1 o’clock that afternoon. When they arrived to the scene near the intersection of Brownway and Garman Hollow, they soon realized numerous structures were in the fire’s path. They called for mutual aid and firefighters from Camden, Pulaski, and Laclede counties answered the call. Nearly four hours later, after burning around 200 acres, the fire was finally brought under control, saving all of the structures that were feared to be in its path.
