Two people are facing charges for drugs and child endangerment as a result of an investigation by the Stover Police Department. On July 3rd an off-duty officer reported seeing a woman that appeared to be under the influence at a local supermarket. After a traffic stop and a field sobriety test, police searched the car and found methamphetamine. A young child was present in the car. 29-year old Stacey Richardet faces multiple charges including possession of a controlled substance, endangering the welfare of a child, and driving while intoxicated. The police obtained a warrant to search her residence two days later, where they arrested Andrea Whitney, who faces charges for possession and endangering the welfare of a child. The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office and Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force assisted in the investigation.
