A police officer in the Stover police department is out of a job today after he was arrested for a DWI following a two-vehicle accident on Sunday night. On January 9th 38 year old Officer Trampus Jackson was traveling westbound on Route T in Stover when his 2001 Dodge pickup struck a 2010 Jeep in rear. The Driver of the jeep, Martha Skerlec age 40 of Stover was slowing down to make a left turn onto route T. Skerlec is pregnant and was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City by ambulance for monitoring. Trampus was charged with a DWI and following another vehicle too closely. Both individuals where wearing their safety belts; Highway patrol troop f investigated the incident.
