With the current five-year strategic plan coming to an end this year, School of the Osage continues the process of adopting a plan for the next five years. The board of education, Monday night, gave its approval to, what was described as, the first step in the three step process. Board members heard a presentation by Assistant Superintendent Doctor Laura Nelson outlining the proposed pillars and objectives which serve as the foundation of the next strategic plan. Doctor Nelson says 25 focus groups involving more than 260 stakeholders took part in identifying the pillars and objectives. Up next, the Osage board of education will consider the various action plans included in the overall strategic plan before voting on a final draft of the plan which will bring the district through the 2023 school year.
