A Sunrise Beach bank is now open with a new name. On Friday, the two branches of Community Bank of the Ozarks were closed by the Missouri Division of Finance. The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation says the banks nearly 43 million dollars in assets and almost 42 million dollars in deposits were taken over by the Bank of Sullivan. Customers of Community Bank of the Ozarks should continue to use their existing branch until they receive notice from Bank of Sullivan that it has completed systems changes to allow other Bank of Sullivan branches to process their accounts as well. Customers with questions should call the FDIC at 1-800-830-6698 or go online to fdic dot gov. This is the fourth bank to fail this year in Missouri and the 51st in the nation.
