The Sunrise Beach Fire protection district has sold a piece of their equipment to another nearby fire department. A 3,000 gallon tanker was purchased from Sunrise Beach by the California, Missouri rural fire protection district. According to reports, the need for the tanker isn’t what it used to be as sunrise beach now has 135 fire hydrants throughout the district. However, California still needs this type of equipment. The sale of the apparatus is also expected to help offset some of the rising costs of fire protection in the district.
