Sewer and water may not be automatic for annexed properties in the city of sunrise beach. At Monday’s meeting of the sunrise beach board of trustees, Mayor Curt Mooney told the board that it was time to start looking at changing the ordinance pertaining to utility services outside of the village proper. Mooney said “we have existing village property we need to spend money on first, and those who annex in, will need to pay for service.” Along the same lines the board addressed the idea that when properties are annexed into the village, the roads in the area do not automatically become city maintained roads. In other business, the board tabled making a decision on a rezoning application regarding the expansion of deer valley park and camping and the addition of a proposed biker bar and grill with occasional outdoor entertainment. The board tabled the request so they can have all the facts before making an official comment.
