Last month, a school was put on lockdown, a search team was in the woods along Blue Ridge Road and Highway 42, and a helicopter was in the air. The person of interest was 32 year old Michael Regehr. Regehr was pulled over at Hy-vee and when police realized he was the key suspect in a number of thefts, he fled on foot. The search went through the night with no sign of him anywhere. At one time, the Miller County Sheriff’s Department said they didn’t believe Regehr was even in the state anymore. It turns out he was not only in the state, but still in the county. Regehr was picked up by the Highway Patrol yesterday. He was transported to the Miller County Jail where, as of right now, the only official charge he faces is misdemeanor resisting arrest.
