A Benton County man is facing criminal charges after being caught with a stolen car and other personal items taken from a property in Camden County. Moses Goff of Edwards faces charges of tampering with a motor vehicle, second-degree burglary, and stealing. The man who owned the car allegedly saw it parked at a business in Climax Springs and stopped to question the driver, who said he had bought it in Laurie a few weeks earlier. He claimed did not receive a bill of sale or title for the 1995 Chevy Camaro convertible, which he said he paid $600 for. The victim was also able to identify other personal property of his located inside the car. The car’s owner said he hadn’t lived at the property where the car was for 2-3 years and didn’t know how long it was missing. His mother said the property had been broken into but she never reported it. It’s believed Goff may have gained access to the property while he was there working for a tree cutting service.
