A suspect, who went on the run, accused in connection to a cold case murder in Miller County from nearly 20 years ago is set to be back in court Monday seeking to be released on her own recognizance or on a reduced bond.
Tabatha Carter is charged with being an accessory to first-degree murder and armed criminal action in the shooting death of Jerry Jeffries at a bar in Brumley back on July 23, 2001.
Courthouse records show that Carter implicates another suspect, who has been deceased for years, as the shooter in the case.
Carter had also been wanted on probation warrants out of Morgan and Polk counties. She is currently being held on no bond in the Miller County case.
