A woman accused in a Miller County shooting is scheduled to be in court today. Kathryn Neu of Marthasville is charged with first-degree assault with serious physical injury, armed criminal action and resisting arrest. The incident happened earlier this month at a home along VFW Road just outside of the Eldon city limits. Witnesses at the scene were able to provide information to deputies who took the 60-year-old into custody and transported her to the Miller County Jail. The victim was flown to University Hospital.
A man facing several felony and misdemeanor charges is scheduled to be arraigned today in Camden County Circuit Court. John Pawelczak was arrested in mid-July after leading authorities on a pursuit reaching speeds in excess of 100 mph. He’s charged with three felony counts of possession, a felony count of resisting, a misdemeanor count of possession and traffic-related offenses. Pawelczak also faces a felony probation violation in Miller County.
