Funds from the transportation alternatives program also known as “TAP” could end up funding some future projects at the Lake of the Ozarks. TAP provides federal funds thru a competitive selection process for transportation projects and cannot be used for routine projects. The program would cover 80 percent of the cost while local public agencies would pay 20 percent. Projects could include but are not limited to things such as sidewalks, rails to trails, boulevards from divided highways and storm water mitigation. Selected projects will be announced in January.
