The Lake of the Ozarks is dedicated as one of the top tourism locations in the Midwest. A big reason for that is because of the time and money that the Tri-County Lodging Association puts into advertising for the area. 1st District Commissioner Bev Thomas says that money comes from state funds and has to be approved by Camden County.
During Thursday’s Camden County Commission Meeting, a vote was held to approve a resolution to give the TCLA their endorsement. According to an advertising efficiency study conducted last October, for every $1 the TCLA spends in advertising, tourism brings back $198 to the area.
