The Benton County Commission was busy this past week meeting with several community members and representatives. Commissioner Steve Daleske had reported to the board that he has applied for the Phase 1 and 2 assessments of property for environmental purposes regarding the old road maintenance building which caught fire back in 2014. In other business the board accepted a bid from MFA Oil Company for the diesel fuel in Road district # 2 beating out both Warsaw Oil and Zollicker Oil. The board did speak with a representative from both Vicky Hartzler’s office as well as Roy Blunt’s office about upcoming legislation and matters to the county. Finally the board spoke with a representative of the Teal Bend homeowners association. They are looking for form a Neighborhood improvement district to which the board will further review the options during their March 9th meeting.
