A teenager from Orange, California, is taken into custody after a series of events that started on Horseshoe Bend. Courthouse documents filed in Camden County allege that 17-year-old Ethan Howard walked away from the Calo facility for teenagers, apparently, sometime during the evening hours on Saturday. Howard then entered a home in the 300-block of Verbena Road while the resident was asleep and took a wallet before going into the garage and stealing a Jeep Wrangler. Howard was able to get as far away as Crocker where he was stopped by a city police officer and taken into custody. Formal charges were filed over the weekend against the 17-year-old including first-degree burglary, a class-B felony, and first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle, a class-D felony. Bond was set at $30-thousand.
