As you get ready to roast, fry or slow cook your turkey this year you might be able to squeeze another favorite dish in this year’s plans. Thanksgiving is a little more than a week away, and experts say this year’s meal will cost less. The average cost to feed 10 people a normal Thanksgiving meal will be $48.61. That is down from $51.87 last year. The price per person comes to $4.86. The meal consists of a 16-pound turkey, bread stuffing, sweet potatoes, rolls with butter, peas, cranberries, a relish tray, pumpkin pie with whipped cream, and beverages of coffee and milk. The turkey was the biggest contributing factor to lower costs for the holiday. The average price per pound dropped 18 cents.
