A conservative think-tank is throwing their support behind reforming the state’s minimum age of adult prosecution. Show-Me-Institute analyst Emily Stahly discussed the issue on “The Morning Magazine” on KRMS.
Criminal justice reform remains a hot topic in the state legislature, with lawmakers looking for solutions to overcrowding in prisons, upkeep of prison facilities, and reforming young offenders. There are at least three House bills still alive in the General Assembly that would raise the minimum age of adult prosecution from 17 to 18.
