A group of veterans on motorcycles will be roaring across the state later this year. Liberty Riders of America will be participating in the state’s first annual Vietnam Wall Run September 21st. As many as 500 riders are expected to participate, along with support vehicles and a tour bus packed with Vietnam veterans and an escort crew of law enforcement officers. They’ll be riding 256 miles from Springfield to Perryville. That’s where Missouri’s “sister wall” is located…a replica of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington, D.C. More riders are expected to join from other states. The Highway Patrol estimates that as many as 5,000 bikes will be at the memorial. The ride is open to anyone wanting to participate to show support for the veterans.
