The first ever Columbia College CC for a Cure Golf Classic raises more than 24 hundred dollars for a college scholarship and Relay for Life. Part of the funds is going towards a scholarship named after former student Phil Davis who passed away from cancer only a few classes short of obtaining his bachelor’s degree. Some of the money raised is also going to the Miller County Relay for Life. The event was held at the Eldon Golf Club and featured several golfers, sponsors and supporters of Columbia College from around the Lake Area. The Lake of the Ozarks campus was established in 1990 and will be celebrating its 23rd anniversary later this month.
