A two-boat collision early Tuesday morning near the 32-mile mark of the Osage Arm results in three people being injured and felony charges filed. The water patrol division of the highway patrol says it happened when 25-year-old Derek Van Kluyve, of Linn Creek, was maneuvering into a dock and, instead, struck another boat which had already been docked. VanKluyve and two passengers, 21-year-olds Victoria Trickey and Nicholas St. Clair both of Columbia, all suffered minor injuries and were treated at Lake Regional. VanKluyve was arrested and taken to the Camden County Jail. Formal charges including two felony counts of BWI physical injury, one felony count for leaving the scene and a misdemeanor for not exercising the highest degree of care while operating a watercraft were officially filed, Tuesday, in the courthouse.
