Three Separate Boating Accidents Over The Weekend Cause Minor To Moderate Injuries

A number of crashes on the water this weekend sends several people to the hospital for minor to moderate injuries.

The Highway Patrol’s water division says the first crash happened on the 4-mile mark of the Main channel, when a 25-year-old woman from Iowa ended up going airborne after the boat she was on hit a large wake. The Patrol says she collided with an object on the boat.

The second crash happened at the 18-mile mark of the Osage Arm. In a similar situation to the previous crash, a 22-year-old woman from St. Louis also went airborne after the boat she was on hit a large wake. She too collided with an object on the boat.

The third incident occurred in Rainy Creek Cove at the 1 & ½ mile mark of the Osage Arm. The Patrol says a 35-year-old Kansas Woman was injured while trying to help some children who were swimming near the pontoon she was on.

All three were transported to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment.
