The Water Patrol Division is out in full force in the Lake Area this holiday weekend keeping a close eye on boaters who may be breaking any laws. And if you are one of the many that will come into contact with a Water Patrol officer, there are some tips being offered to help keep the process as simple as it can be. It starts with putting yourself in the position of the officer.
Captain Matt Walz, Director of the Water Patrol, also says to stay where you are on the boat and to minimize any movements without first being directed. As for recording video of any stop, be respectful of the situation and keep it from interfering with the process.
