We’ve been telling you this past week about the issue that was recently raised about the Lake of the Ozarks Community Bridge and tolls being charges to area Law Enforcement and Emergency officials to cross the bridge. As of Saturday, the USDA Rural Development agency agreed to adjust the rules based on the recommendation of the bridge Treasurer who recommended this week to remove the restrictions and allow all emergency personnel to cross without a toll. The only stipulation on the bridge will be that all emergency vehicles must be recognizable to bridge officials. The changes will go into effect immediately.
