You really can’t make up some of the stuff found in a police report…that would appear to be the case after three Kansas-area men were a little too late for last call before being cuffed and stuffed by Lake Ozark Police.
Chief Gary Launderville tells KRMS News that his officers responded a little after midnight Friday morning after receiving a report of a commercial alarm sounding at the Eagle Stop at the intersection of Business-54 and “W.”
Upon arrival, one officer pulled over a pickup with Kansas plates leaving the business. Two other officers investigating inside the store found a note by the register, with a Kansas phone number, admitting that two cases of beer had been taken from the store.
The three men inside the pickup were all described as intoxicated, including the driver, and were arrested.
Shawn Behrndt of Kansas City, Troy Renkemeyer of Shawnee Mission, Kansas, and Michael Doherty, of Leawood, Kansas, are each charged with felony burglary. They were taken to the Miller County Jail.
Each of their bonds were set at $25-thousand.
