The Mid County Fire District is getting ready to hold a series of town hall meetings about a proposal they have on the November ballot. The district is asking voters for a 12 cent levy increase. Officials say the money would be used to maintain their current level of service and not for new vehicles or to hire more personnel. The meetings will be held at four of the district’s fire stations.
The first will be on Monday, October 21st at Station Two on Twin Rivers Point Road in Greenview.
The next will be on Tuesday, October 22nd at Station Three on State Route A-A in Roach.
The third meeting is set for Monday, October 28th at Station One on Business Route 5 in Camdenton.
The final meeting will be on Tuesday, October 29th at station four on Highway 7 in Montreal.
All of the meetings will start at 6:00 in the evening.
