We continue our look back at 2015 with the fourth and third biggest stories of 2015.
Number four, tragedy hits Osage Beach as four young children were killed in a fire at the Compass Pointe Condominiums on August 4th. The children were trapped in the fire as the father tried to rescue the children. The cause of the fire was undetermined due to the excessive damage done to the building. It was torn down earlier this month.
Number three, the announcement and groundbreaking of a new multi faceted development in Osage Beach, the Arrowhead Centre. Developer Gary Mitchell requested the city to help with Tax Increment Financing of 55-million-dollars to help offset the 385-million-dollar construction cost. Phase one is expected to begin construction after the first of 2016.
