A local fire district is putting taxpayer money to good use. The Tri-County Fire District recently received their portion of funding from the Laclede County Development Tax. That total amounted to just over $3100. That money was used to purchase two sets of protective equipment for water-rescues and six throw-rope bags. The department says the purchases make them better prepared to respond to water rescue incidents. Tri-County Fire Protection District serves parts of Camden, Laclede, and Pulaski counties.
