The trial of a Laclede County man accused of neglecting and starving several horses has been scheduled for November 20th. Thomas Oviatt was charged with eleven counts of misdemeanor animal abuse earlier this year after the horses were found in an emaciated condition at his farm. Authorities allege Oviatt knowingly failed to provide adequate care for the animals. The horses were turned over to the humane society for care.
