The Highway Patrol trooper killed in the line of duty on August 28th during the pursuit of a motorcycle was honored at Troop “F” Headquarters Tuesday (29) in Jefferson City. Hundreds of state troopers gathered to honor James Bava who was added to the Ultimate Sacrifice Wall at Troop “F” Headquarters. The Patrol’s Colonel Bret Johnson also signed a proclamation retiring Bava’s badge number. James Bava was the 31st trooper in the Highway Patrol’s history to lose his life in the line of duty.
