The highway patrol reports, at least, two injury traffic accidents over the weekend in the lake area resulting in two people being given one-way rides to the Miller County Jail. The first happened just before 11:30 Saturday night on Highway-42 east of Hawken Cemetery Road when 31-year-old Craig Danielson, of Crocker, lost control of the pick-up sending it off the roadway and into a fence. Danielson refused treatment at the scene for minor injuries while a passenger, 28-year-old April Hamm, also from Crocker, suffered moderate injuries…she was taken to Lake Regional while Danielson was charged with felony DWI resulting in an injury. The other wreck happened just before 4:15 Sunday afternoon when 40-year-old Gregory Heintz, of Eldon, crossed over the center of Village Marina Road and overcorrected sending the car off the road before striking a tree. Heintz was treated for minor injuries at Lake Regional…he’s also charged with DWI-drugs, C-and-I driving resulting in a wreck, not wearing a seat belt and not having insurance.
