Two people are taken into custody, including a Camdenton man, after a routine traffic stop Tuesday night for an expired tag on Horseshoe Bend. The Camden County Sheriff’s Department says it happened on Duckhead Road. During the stop, the deputy reportedly detected a strong odor of marijuana resulting in the subsequent search which, allegedly, revealed what was believed to be black tar heroin, methamphetamine, marijuana, over 60 hits of LSD and paraphernalia. The driver, a 34-year-old man from Camdenton, and a passenger, a 27-year-old man from Maryland, were both taken to the Camden County Jail. Their names have not been released pending formal charges.
