Two Arrested in Sunrise Beach Meth Bust

Two Lake Area residents land in the Camden County Jail after the sheriff’s department teams up with the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group to conduct an investigation at a residence in Sunrise Beach. Captain Chris Twitchel says methamphetamine and paraphernalia were seized during the operation. Taken into custody were 36-year-old Travis Hinkle and 31-year-old Dougie Bruce. They were both formally charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia. Hinkle also had several other outstanding warrants. As of Monday evening, he remained in custody while Bruce was released after she was able to post bond.
