A Laurie woman has been charged with murder in the stabbing death of a Camdenton man nearly nine years ago. 36-year-old Clara Rector, arrested by Camden County deputies Sunday for stalking a pastor at Camdenton Bible Baptist Church, confessed to the April 2004 homicide of 48-year-old Tommy Hope. Rector was a person of interest during the original investigation, but authorities were never able to to connect her directly to the murder. Yesterday, deputies arrested 46-year-old Jason Rector and charged him with felony evidence tampering. Both are being held without bail in the Camden County jail.
