Two Camden County Residents Face Drug Charges Following Raid

Two people are facing drug charges following a raid by the Lake Area Narcotics group, the Mid-Missouri Drug Task force and the Camden County Sheriff’s office.

According to reports, a warrant was obtained and a search of a residence was conducted in the county.

Officials say Amber Rodriguez and Layne Elmore were taken into custody during the raid.

Deputies found approximately 100 pills, which presumptuously tested positive for opiates used in the making of Fentanyl.

Also found where drug paraphernalia, a gun and cash.

The pills have been sent to the Highway Patrol’s laboratory for further analysis.



On 02/02/21 Members of the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group and the Camden County Sheriffs Office conducted an investigation utilizing information gained from the Mid Missouri Drug Task Force. During the investigation, a search warrant was obtained and executed at a residence in Camelot Estates. As a result, approximately 100 capsules of suspected Fentanyl, several plastic baggies of a white crystalline substance and a handgun were seized. Two females were arrested at the residence and transported to the Camden County Detention Center.

Amber R Rodriguez age 30 of Camdenton was charged with Felony Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Felony Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.

Layne A Elmore age 33 of Camdenton was charged with Felony Delivery of a Controlled Substance.

Both suspects remain at the Camden County Detention Center on no bond.
