A Camdenton man is charged after an, alleged, drunken driving accident in southern Missouri. The highway patrol says it happened just before 10:15 Monday morning on Highway-5 near Grovespring in Wright County. 33-year-old Angelo Jones was southbound when the car he was driving ran off the road before returning to the road and striking a northbound vehicle driven by 38-year-old Brent Espy, of Elkland. Espy was uninjured. Jones was treated for minor injuries at a nearby hospital. He also faces pending charges of DWI, leaving the scene of an accident and other traffic-related offenses. Jones was released on summons with a future court date.
One person is arrested and another seriously injured after an accident in Camden County. 76-year old Bentley Byler was a passenger in the vehicle that attempted to make a U-turn at the junction of Anderson Hollow and East Shivers Road just after 8pm Monday. He was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle when the passenger side door came open. The Highway Patrol says 25-year old Chadrick Byler of Linn Creek was driving the vehicle. He was charged with DWI with serious physical injury and was taken to the Camden County jail.
