A Camdenton resident is flown to University Hospital after a rollover accident yesterday afternoon on Highway 54.
The incident happened just before 1:30 at the intersection of 54 and Route V. 56-year old Debbie McCain was headed west in her 2002 Chevy Blazer. 48-year old Terry Gustin of Osage Beach was behind the Blazer in his 1990 Lincoln, also headed westbound. McCain began to slow down, Gustin failed to recognize the slowdown, and the Lincoln hit the back of the Blazer causing the Blazer to overturn.
McCain, the driver of the Blazer, was wearing her seat belt and suffered serious injuries. She was flown to University Hospital in Columbia. A passenger in the Lincoln, 38-year old Lisa Giarraeano of Camdenton, was also wearing a seat belt and suffered moderate injuries. She was taken to Lake Regional Hospital. The Osage Beach man driving the Lincoln was wearing his seat belt and was uninjured.
